Types of Copywriting For Business

Many people are not aware of the different types of copywriting there is and even fewer have ever tried to find out what these types are. But one thing is for sure, and that is that a lot of people are into copywriting for money on the internet. Even those who are new to online copywriting can tell you that this is their bread and butter. The types of copywriting are actually many, but here are some of the more common ones.

types of copywriting

Agencies: Agencies are usually the first choice of most professional writers. An agency copywriter specializes in a certain type of writing and will be best known for that. Agencies are mostly concerned with selling a product or service and will therefore try to focus on that. When it comes to selling a product or service, however, in-house copywriters are better at doing just that. These types of copywriters work for an agency and are called in-house copywriters.

Freelance Writing: Freelance writers are usually self-employed, although they may belong to an agency. They are known for their creativity and can come up with many different types of copywriting. Some types of freelance writing might include short stories, articles, sales letters, catalogues, newsletters and many other things. Many freelance writers also set up booths at trade shows, events, fairs and expositions.

In-house/ Agency Copywriters: These are the type of copywriters that freelancers often times turn to when they need content for their website. When it comes to agency copywriting, however, it is very difficult to find one. This is because most agencies are interested in maintaining a good reputation and will usually only take on very experienced freelance copywriters.

Writing Product Descriptions: A great way to use freelance copywriting is to create product descriptions. If you are selling a product on an online auction site, for example, you would write a press release or product description that is related to your product. If you’re selling a travel service, you could write reviews about the travel service. You could also write reviews about products from different companies, so that people know which company to purchase their items from based on your experience.

Marketing Copywriting: This is probably the most popular of the different types of copywriting. Marketing copywriting is basically the text you see on the side of a bus, on a billboard, in a magazine, on a television commercial, etc. It is essentially telling your target audience, what you are doing and why they should buy your product. You will want to create different types of marketing copy based on different audience needs, so make sure to talk to a professional who has experience in this field.
